Public consultation on draft regulation regarding the provision of information on the location of callers to the Public Security Answering Point

ANACOM has submitted the Download file draft regulation (in Portuguese) on the provision of information about the location of callers to the Public Security Answering Point (PASP) to public consultation. Considering the publication of Law no. 16/2022 of 16 August (repealing Law no, 5/2004 of 10 February and approving the current Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law), as well as the technological developments seen in the electronic communications sector and the development of PASP architecture, ANACOM saw that there was a need to proceed with the preparation of this draft regulation.

Considerando a publicação da Lei n.º 16/2022, de 16 de agosto, que revoga a Lei n.º 5/2004, de 10 de fevereiro, e aprova a atual Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas, bem como a evolução tecnológica no sector das comunicações eletrónicas e a evolução da arquitetura do PASP, a ANACOM verificou a necessidade de proceder à elaboração deste projeto de regulamento.
