Universal Service Requirements Provision of access at a fixed location (AFL USO)

On 29 July 2016, the Commission for Communications Regulation (“ComReg) published ComReg Decision 05/16 “Universal Service Requirements – Provision of access at a fixed location (AFL USO).” ComReg Decision 05/16 designated Eircom Limited (“eir”) to provide Access at a Fixed Location under the Universal Service Obligation for a 5 year period until 30 June 2021. On 26 August 2016, eir lodged an appeal of ComReg Decision D05/16 in the High Court. ComReg will fully defend the proceedings brought by eir
